Less than 160 days , the World Senior Weightlifting Championship will be held in Go Yang city , S. Korea . The considerable point of these competitions , is the Korean comprehensive preparedness as the host towards holding the World Battles as splendid as possible . The competitions will be held in the Kintex Sport Complex that was the host for the Asian Interclub Competitions last year . But it is a fact that, holding such competitions in this level , overshadows somehow other Intercontinental and International competitions from the quality point of view . For example in the Asian Championship held recently in Taldykorgan , Kazakhstan , some of the well-known champions were absent in the competitions that probably were being prepared for the World Championship . Perhaps the battles held before the Go Yang World competitions were under the influence of it and we were not the witness of all the weightlifting stars in such battlefields. Anyway gaining honor in the World Senior championships is something like obtaining medal in the Olympic Competitions and most of the Weightlifters modify their exercising scheme somehow that they could compete with their maximum strength in these kind of Competitions . Of course the Continental Senior Championships were held in different continents within the first 6 months of the year and a there was a suitable distance between those competitions and the World Championship ; however , many countries kept caution and didn’t use their prominent weightlifters during the year for the competitions .
The World Championship in the Senior category , is held in the last season every year and just because of it , it seems some of the countries apply a mistaken policy about using their champions in other current competitions , because it causes the reduction of the qualities of the intercontinental competition level.
