The first weightlifting event in 2012 will be related to the Islamic Solidarity Weightlifting Competitions to be held in from 28Jan. to 2 Feb in Dammam ,Saudi Arabia .

Of course on Saturday , Verification and Opening Ceremony will be held and the competitions will be started on Sunday at 16:00 . These competitions will be held in Men’s squad and all the battles will last from 16:00 t0 !8:00 and 18:00 to 20:00 in two categories  . On Tuesday , 31 Jan . there is to be held the ’Open excursion to the half moon ‘ and the rest competitions and Closing & Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday .

The Islamic Solidarity Weightlifting Competitions usually are held among the teams from Africa, and some Arab countries that this year Saudi Arabia is the host of this cycle of the competitions . In these competitions , the teams take part with their high potentials and powers and the battles for gaining the colorful medals are often close and exciting .
