The amendment and alteration of the date of Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships and specifying the exact date of Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships

With regard to the 3^rd Islamic Solidarity Games which will be held from 6^th to 17^th June in Jakarta , Indonesia and since the weightlifting competitions has also been included in the timetable of the abovementioned Games too .

To avoid causing harm to the quality and organization of the 2013 Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships , the participating teams would be able to make the best of their efforts and endeavors during the above competitions  showing their vigor and power to their competitors ; it has been decided to change the date of the championships accordingly .

The dignitaries and high-ranking officials of AWF have recently convened a meeting in Doha, unanimously decided, and agreed to organize and hold 2013 Asian Weightlifting Championships on 20-26 June in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Previously the above championship was supposed to be held from 05-14 June 2013 in the same place.

It is worth pointing out that Mr.Ali Moradi the respectable General Secretary of AWF  and Mr.Mohamed  Yousef Al Mana the venerable AWF President  have recently convened   an official meeting  in Doha ,Qatar and finally it has been stipulated and  decided that  2013 Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships would  be held on 26 May to 02 June in Doha , Qatar .

In the meantime , the above decision  has unanimously  been supported   and approved  by AWF Executive board members . Furthermore, AWF Annual Congress  and Executive Board meeting will be organized and held  during the above said competitions .

This year for the first time  , Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships has been separated from Asian Junior Weightlifting competitions and actually it can be considered as the first International event in weightlifting sport that will be held after IWF elections .

The upcoming  IWF elections will be held on 20-21 May 2013 in Moscow , Russia .
