2nd Asian Youth Games 2013 will be held from 16-24 August 2013 in Nanjing, China. It is to be mentioned that the 1st Asian Youth Games took place in Singapore.
This year the organizers of the Asian Youth Games included 15 sport fields such as swimming ( including diving ) , athletics , handball , basketball , fencing , badminton , football , golf , Judo , rugby , tennis , shooting , table-tennis , squash , weightlifting in the table of the Asian Youth Games .
Furthermore, the weightlifting competitions of the Asian Youth Games will be held in nine 9 categories and the age group between 14-16 years old weightlifters namely those who were born between the 1st of January 1997 to 31st of December 1999 are entitled to take part in the weightlifting championships .
In this case, the Youth Girls will compete with their rivals respectively in 48kg, 53 kg , 58kg and 63kg bodyweight category and Youth Boys will be held in 56kg , 62kg , 69kg , 77kg and 85kg category in order that they will finally will be able to achieve the brilliant gold , silver and bronze medals .
However, the Olympic Youth Weighting championships and World Youth Weightlifting competitions respectively take place in 11 & 15 bodyweight categories. Likewise, the forthcoming Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships, which will be held from 26 May to 02 June in Doha, Qatar, consists of 15 categories. The schedule of the weightlifting competitions of the 2nd Asian Youth Games, Nanjing 2013 is as follows:
Youth Girls 48kg and Youth Boys 56 , 62 Kg category will be held on August 17th ; Youth Girls 53 & 58 Kg and Youth Boys 69 kg category will take place on 19th of August and finally Youth Girls 63kg and Youth Boys 77 & 85 kg will be held on August 21st .
